Siki's Flying Day: A Lesson of learning Patience

High up in a leafy tree, a couple of birds lived with their two sweet baby birds, Siki and Miki. They lived in a cosy nest made of twigs.
A story of immaturity
While Miki was happy to rest, Siki had a big dream. She wanted to fly high in the blue sky! Siki looked at the clouds and asked her mother every day, "Can I fly today?" But Mother Bird smiled and gently shook her head. "Not yet, my little one," she said. "You need to wait until you are bigger."

Every evening, a neighbor senior bird—who had just learned how to fly—would come home. They shared wonderful stories about zooming through the clouds and seeing the whole world. Hearing these adventures made Siki want to fly even more!

One afternoon, the parent birds flew away to find some yummy food, Siki decided to fly herself. Miki looked at Siki and warned her not to do so. But Siki wouldn't listen. She flapped her tiny wings and stepped right out of the nest.

Because her wings weren't fully grown yet, Siki couldn't stay in the air. Down, down, down she tumbled, landing on the soft grass below! Her wings ached and felt sore, and walking around on the ground felt very strange and lonely.

After some time, she saw that a small animal was running towards her. Though it was small, still bigger than Siki. It was a baby rabbit. Siki told him all about her silly adventure.

The rabbit shook his head and said, "Oh dear, it's not safe for little birds down here! I am going to find some carrots now. Be very careful, and hide if anything goes wrong. Ok Bye!"
Suddenly, Siki heard a loud, spooky growl—Arooooo! It was a big wolf walking nearby! Siki’s heart went thump-thump. Remembering the rabbit's advice, she quickly hid behind a big green bush and closed her eyes, feeling very scared.

Just as Siki was most afraid, she heard a familiar chirp. It was her mother. The mother bird flew quickly, spotted Siki in the grass, and scooped her up. Mother carried her safely back to their cosy nest.

Moral: Be Patient: Everything happens at the right moment. If we wait until we are fully ready, we can do things safely, successfully, and without getting hurt!
That day, Siki promised that, from then on, she would always listen to her parents. She learned to wait patiently because everything happens at the right time.
