The Friendship Between Day and Night- Kids Story (Ages 3-5)

One evening, the sun went down and the stars came out. A little green parrot was getting ready for bed. An owl came and sat down nearby.
The parrot smiled and said, “Good night! Sweet dreams!”
The owl looked surprised. “But I have just woken up!”
The parrot said, “That is not good! You should sleep at night and wake up early in the morning.”
The owl felt sad. “Oh! Is it wrong to wake up at night?”
They flew to a pretty Rose. "Morning is the best," said the rose. "That is why I open up in the morning and look so beautiful!"

Then, a Tuberose flower near them whispered, "No, night is better! That is why I share my sweet smell all through the night."

Next, they met a big furry Bear. He said, "Morning is great. It makes me so strong!" Quickly, a little Bat swooped by and squeaked, "No way! Night is better. It lets me fly all around, even though I am an animal with fur!"

The parrot and the owl stopped and thought about this. They understood that everyone is wonderful just the way they are.
The parrot gave him a friendly hug.
From that day on, they became happy friends. But they could meet only in the evening.
End.
