The sleepy Caterpillar & the Buzzing Bumblebee - A short story for kids (age 3-5)

Caterpillar loved to sleep.
He liked curling up on a soft leaf for a long nap.
One day, Bumblebee flew near him.
“Buzz… buzz… buzz!” went Bumblebee.
Caterpillar woke up. He did not like the noise.
“Please stop buzzing!” said Caterpillar angrily.
“I want to sleep!”
Bumblebee felt sad. He did not want to make Caterpillar angry. He remained silent.

The next day, Caterpillar was eating a fresh green leaf.
He looked around and saw Bumblebee sitting quietly in the same place.
“Why are you still here?” asked Caterpillar.
“Why don't you fly to the other flowers and get some food?”

Bumblebee looked sad.
“If I fly to the flowers, I will have to go near you,” he said.
“My wings make a buzz… buzz… sound.
You may get angry with me again.
Caterpillar felt sad when he heard this.

“Oh, Bumblebee! I am sorry,” said Caterpillar.
“You were only making your normal buzzing sound. You did nothing wrong.''
Bumblebee smiled.
From that day, Caterpillar and Bumblebee became good friends again.
Bumblebee happily flew from flower to flower.
And whenever Bumblebee went, everyone heard:
“Buzz… buzz… buzz!” 🐝🌿
