Charlie's one Night : Understanding Life Outside

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful dog named Charlie. He lived in a big, warm house with a mother, a father, and their little son named Rinku. Charlie was a very lucky dog. He had a soft bed, expensive toys, and delicious food every single day.
Story of a Rich Dog
Every afternoon, Charlie went for a long walk with Rinku. Charlie felt very proud of his shiny fur and his fancy collar. Sometimes, he saw two stray dogs living on the street nearby. Charlie would turn his head away and think, "I am rich and they are poor. I don't want to play with them."

One morning, the family got dressed. They were going to visit a relative. Charlie stayed outside to watch the house. He barked happily as their car drove away. "I’ll see you soon!" he thought, wagging his tail as he roamed around the yard.

In the afternoon, the sky turned grey, and heavy white snow began to fall. It fell faster and faster. The roads became covered in deep ice. Because of the heavy snowfall, Rinku’s family could not drive back home. They were stuck far away, and Charlie was all alone in the garden.

The sun went down and the night became very dark. Charlie’s thick fur was wet and frozen. He waited by the door, but nobody came to let him inside. His tummy began to rumble loudly. He was very hungry, very cold, and very scared.

Just then, Charlie saw that the two stray dogs are walking toward him. Charlie was worried they would bark at him. But they didn't. They saw that Charlie was shivering. They knew exactly how it felt to be cold and hungry because that was their life every day.

One of the stray dogs came closer and dropped a piece of bread right at Charlie’s paws. It was the only food the stray dog had, but he shared it anyway. Charlie realized that even though these dogs were "poor," they had the biggest hearts he had ever seen.

Charlie ate the bread and felt much better. He understood now, that life outside is very hard, and having fancy things doesn't make you better than others.
Rinku’s family finally came home in the next morning.
Charlie got a big experience that night. He didn't bark at the stray dogs anymore. Instead, he wagged his tail and shared a happy feeling with his new friends.
True kindness isn't about what you have in your house, but what you have in your heart.
