The Porcupine Story: A Friend in Need

Once upon a time, in a bright green jungle, three little friends lived together. There was a Baby bear, a Weasel, and a Badger. They loved to run, jump, and race through the tall grass. They were very fast and always had fun together.
The story of a true friend
One day, a Porcupine family moved in nearby. The baby porcupine always watched them play. He wanted to join the game.

One day, he asked them, "Can I play too?" But the three friends shook their heads. "No," they said. "You are too slow, and you cannot run like us. So you can't play with us" The poor porcupine felt sad.

One sunny day, the three friends decided to go on an adventure. They reached a wide, splashing river. Across the water, there were big, grey rocks that looked just like a bridge. "Let’s hop across!" shouted the Weasel. One by one, they began to jump from rock to rock.

Suddenly, there was an accident. The Bear had slipped. His leg got stuck deep between two heavy rocks. He pulled and pulled, but he could not get free. He was trapped in the middle of the river.

In the evening time the Porcupine was walking nearby and saw his friends in trouble. He didn't delayed. He knew he wasn't strong enough to move the rocks, so he used his legs to run as fast as he could to find the Bear's parents.

The Weasel and the Badger tried their best to help. They pulled the Bear’s leg and pushed the rocks with their tiny paws. But the rocks were too heavy, and the Bear was stuck tight. The sun began to go down, and the jungle grew very dark and scary.

After some time the Porcupine reached the Bear’s home and told the parents what happened. They ran to the river in a hurry. With their big, strong bodies, the parents moved the rocks and saved the little Bear. Everyone was safe at last.

That night, back at home, the parents taught the little friends a lesson in true friendship. They told them, "A friend in need is a friend indeed." The baby Bear, the Weasel, and the Badger said sorry to the Porcupine. They realised that even if someone is slow or different, they can still be the best kind of friend.
Finally, they understood that, true friends help each other when things get tough, no matter how fast or slow they are!
