The messy Sam and his Honesty

Simi and Sam are sister and brother. Simi was older and very careful, while Sam was younger and chaotic, as everyone knew. They study in the same school.
A story of building trust

Sam was a very messy kid. He never put his shoes in the closet or his toys in their bins. His room looked like a giant toy box had exploded! "Sam," Simi would often say, "you need to use your Ownership Power and put things away." But Sam just wanted to play.
The school was having a grand exhibition. Everyone was invited to show off their best work. Simi had spent many afternoons carefully painting a beautiful sunset over the ocean. It was her favorite thing she had ever made.

Sam was also excited. He had built a shiny model airplane out of wood and glue. He was very proud of it, but instead of putting it on a safe shelf, he left it in the middle of his messy bedroom floor.

The day before the exhibition, Simi placed her sunset painting on Sam’s table because it was the brightest and sunniest spot in their house. She said, "Sam, I am putting my painting on your table. Please watch over it and be careful.'' Sam agreed silently.

After some time, Sam’s friends called him to play outside. "I need my rackets!" Sam shouted.

He went into his room and started tossing clothes, books, and pillows everywhere, looking for his rackets.

Sam found his racket, but, oh no! He saw that he stood in the middle of the mess. His aeroplane was broken, and his sister’s beautiful painting had a giant blue blob in the middle of the sky. He could not understand how it had all happened in a few seconds, but he realised that it was all because of his fault. He felt a heavy weight in his chest. He wanted to hide, but he remembered what "being big" really meant.

Sam walked slowly to Simi’s room. "Simi," he said with a shaky voice. "I was messy and careless. I broke my plane, and I ruined your painting by accident." He didn't make excuses. He admitted his mistake completely.

Simi looked at her spoiled painting and felt very sad. But when she saw Sam’s honest face, she gave him a hug. "I am sad about the painting," she said, "but I am happy you told the truth. When you don't put things in the right place, accidents happen. To be a 'big kid,' you have to take care of your things."

Together, they spent the evening cleaning Sam’s room. They fixed the aeroplane's wing and added some cotton to turn the blue blob in Simi's painting into a fluffy cloud.

Sam learned that keeping things in the right place isn't just a chore, it’s a way to keep the things you love safe. By owning his mistake, he earned Simi’s trust, which was the best prize of all at the exhibition.
